Dragon Moor – a natural wonder at Krienseregg

JPG

Experience the captivating moorland landscape and the plashing of mountain streams. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the forests and marshes and cast a historical eye over the area's ice-age past.
A round walk through the Forenmoos moorland starts at Krienseregg, the midway station of the panorama gondola cableway. Wooden observation platforms have been erected at five locations along this trail, all reached via raised boardwalks. Each platform features experience-oriented information on a specific topic connected with the Dragon Moor. Visitors discover the value of protecting the Krienseregg natural habitat and of respecting encounters with nature.
The trail to the platforms leads along forest ways and dirt tracks. The whole tour takes between 1.5 and 3 hours, depending on how long is spent at each of the platforms.

Background information

Dragon Moor visitors will find relevant background information on panels at each platform as well as on green overview panels.

Opening times

The Dragon Moor platforms are open to the public all year round. That said, it is probably better to visit the moor during the summer months, as the region can get a lot of snow in winter.
